The refugees from Sierra Leone arrived in Canada last February and were shown the ropes by a Wpg family they met through IRCOMs Family-to-Family program. Gibril is an artist who now does exhibitions and gives lectures thanks to the confidence he says he got from hanging out with the Wpg family (Kristen Pachet, her husband Joel Savard, and their two children see their portrait) who took them under their wing.
