Eighteen-year-old Sam Dubas who is living with PTSD, works with 7-month-old Molly, a golden retriever in a bonding session to train Molly, to detect when Sam's heart rate rises to prevent her from having seizures at Manitoba Search and Rescue Tuesday. Although Molly is a quick learner and has already learned how to detect an elevated heart rate in her owner - Sam, the training costs can run into tens of thousands of dollars. The Dubas family and the Manitoba Equine Expo are holding fundraiser on Jan 23 to help offset the costs in training and maintaining a service dog.
