A local demolition crew was forced to stop working this afternoon when workers on the site were assaulted. Winnipeg Police have the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue blocked off after a man confronted Imrie Demolition employees about to tear down a house. The man threw a glass block at one of the workers, hitting the employee in the head.  He also threw a block through a window on one of the pieces of demolition equipment. The man then climbed up onto the roof of the residence. (seen in photo) City officials who were overseeing the demolition called police.  Police said the suspect is known to them.
