A public protest at Portage Place earlier over security guards who ordered a Dene elder to leave the mall is expected to be addressed by the local MP Friday afternoon. Winnipeg Centre MP Robert-Falcon Ouellette made a statement about "inclusive downtown spaces" in the Centre Court today. Joseph Meconse, 74, (in photo tall guy with moustache and wearing a bead necklace) was kicked out of the Portage Place Mall's food court for loitering last Friday.
