Winnipeg Free Press Store
Winnipeg Harvest chef volunteer Ty Wells and Ali Chioua, Lakeview corporate chef, cut up some turkey at Winnipeg Harvest for lunch. Four Points by Sheraton has donated 30 turkeys to Winnipeg Harvest to help with its desperate need for food items. Four Points by Sheraton will turn over the high protein birds this morning at the food bank before a cooking demonstration. The donation is in response to the urgent food crisis facing Harvest and comes just in time for the holiday weekend. Despite the large donation, more non-perishable food items are still needed and can be dropped off at any Canada Safeway location or the food bank in-person at 1085 Winnipeg Avenue.
