The City of Winnipeg was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from Tree Canada and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation to fund the Winnipeg ReLeaf Program in 2016. The ReLeaf Program, in partnership with Trees Winnipeg, will encourage homeowners to replant tress lost to Dutch Elm Disease and provide them with training on correct planting techniques to help ensure the survival of newly planted trees.
