WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS    The newly constructed Annabella river access walkway was officially opened Tuesday with speeches and a ribbon cutting by from left, Councillor Mike Pagtakhan, artists Louis Bako and Jordan Van Sewell, Councillor Brian Mayes and Cathy Cox, MLA.  The access project to the Red River runs off of the bicycle path near Curtis St. and was designed by area artist Louis Bako with fellow artist Jordan Van Sewell pitched the idea to politicians and eventually the Manitoba Gov't and the City of Winnipeg invested $60,700 in the project. The funding is a Building Communities Initiative funded by the province and the city to support community revitalization. This will give Point Douglas residents year round access to the river. see release.   July 26 2016
