Kassy, a kindergarten student at Dufferin Elementary School gets a helping hand from Police Sgt. Geordie MacKenzie, she was one of the about 50 skaters that took part in the Dufferin Hockey/Learn to Skate Program’ s windup that was held Wednesday at the Pioneer Arena to showcase the skills they have learnt. This community based program’s main goal is to keep youth engaged in a positive and healthy atmosphere. Together the Winnipeg Police Service and Police Cadets partnered with the Dufferin Elementary School, Hugh John MacDonald Junior High, Pinkham Elementary and Freight House and have helped make the program successful for the fifth year . March 15    2017
