WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Fifteen Winnipeg airport workers on strike were out picketing on Wellington Ave. at Century St. Wednesday morning trying to send a message to Wescan Electrical Mechanical Services nearby who they have a dispute with and motorists heading to the James A. Richardson International Airport. Some motorists honked their horns in support while others were not happy with the delay. Strikers suggested any complaints should be directed to the the Winnipeg Airports Authority. About 150 airport employees including duty managers, administrative workers and various tradespeople, among others have been on strike since July 24. They have been without a contract since June 30, 2016. August 23 2017
