July 18, 2013 - (Phil Hossack / Winnipeg Free Press) Doug Youzwa, the father of the 26-year-old who was killed, has asked friends who ride motorcycles to form the funeral procession at his son’s funeral Friday. “help us make enough noise so Jared will hear us in heaven,” he said in his FB appeal. A week ago July 12, Jared Youzwa was killed at the scene of a collision on the TransCanada near Brandon. His girlfriend, Ngan Nguyen, 25, died about six hours later in a Brandon hospital. The couple were heading to a wedding in Saskatchewan when a van pulled out in front of Youzwa’s motorcycle on the Trans Canada near Brandon. There was no time to react and the motorcycle slammed into the van. Doug Youzwa owns a motorcycle shop in Selkirk, Custom One Cycle, 204-785-9534. No answer there yesterday. Youzwa’s Facebook page has the details for the procession: In honour of Jared’s love for anything you could ride we invite you to bring your bike or custom ride to join the procession to the service. Starting at noon we will line up at 81002 St. Peters Road, East Selkirk. Procession to start at 12:30pm. Help us make enough noise so Jared will hear us in Heaven. RIP Douglas Jared Youzwa
