At a news conference Monday, Brittney Ljungberg, the co-chair of the 2014 Poverty Pledge with some of the 40 Institut collégial Vincent Massey Collegiate students that have signed up to live on $3.96 a day for food from March 3-7. The same amount of money a single individual collecting Employment and Income Assistance would receive for their food budget. The Poverty Pledge is an activity that draws awareness to issues related to hunger and poverty.
