At right is Glenn McMurdo a wildfowl sculptor from Cobourg, Ontario  with student John Frye during his three day duck painting workshop he is giving at Lee Valley Tools. Glenn is a world renown duck carver and will be judging at the 28th annual Prairie Canada Carving Championship and show April 5 & 6 held  at the Canad Inns Polo Park. In the forground is a casting painted by Glenn of a Bufflehead hen.  The 2014 competition is expected to draw 300 hand-crafted carvings and turnings of wood, bone, stone and antler from 100-plus carvers from Ontario, the Prairie Provinces and adjoining states.
