JOHN JOHNSTON / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Social Page for April 25th, 2014 Kidney Foundation – Fort Garry Hotel The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch (KFOC) & the Canadian Society of Nephrology held their second annual The Hope Affair in the Grand Ballroom at The Fort Garry Hotel. The theme of “experiences” was chosen for this second annual event in order to highlight the possibilities that research creates for those with kidney disease. More research leads to improved treatment options that allow kidney patients more time to enjoy the many experiences life has to offer. Proceeds from the gala support a Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and National Training (KRESCENT) program grant and patient services for more than 5,000 Manitobans currently affected by kidney disease.
