MIKE.DEAL@FREEPRESS.MB.CA 100921 - Tuesday, September 21, 2010 - In 1940 Joan Colclough came to Canada during the war at the age of six, evacuated from her hometown when Hitler's bombing raids started. She ended up in Winnipeg and went to Queenston School until she went home in January of 1946. She lived in a house on Ash Street and a few years ago started a correspondence with the current residence of the house after a relative sent her a copy of an article about it in the Winnipeg Free Press. Seventy years after first coming to Winnipeg Joan has come back to visit and is sleeping in her old room. MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS
