The Assiniboine Park Conservancy announced the establishment of the McFeetors Heavy Horse Centre which will be built close to the north side of the East parking lot at the Zoo. Two major donations totaling $2.25 million helped make the centre possible. Ray McFeetors, former CEO and Chairman of Great-West Lifeco, donated $2 million, while Great-West Life has pledged an additional $250,000.
