Stdup .Greg Selinger serves  Wild Blueberry Pancakes-Supports 50 employment opportunities, 24 local artisans and 5 performers in our inner city .WINNIPEG, MB ‚Äì November 26, 2014‚ÄìLocal Investment Toward Employment (LITE) is hosting their Annual Wild Blueberry Pancake Breakfast for the 18th time. On the morning of Friday, November 28th hundreds of people will attend the event at the Indian and M¾©tis Friendship Centre in support of LITE initiatives ‚Äì funding employment opportunities that empower, train and build skills for people breaking out of poverty in our inner city.This is a truly community focused event with LITE hiring the catering services of Spence Neighbourhood Association, Native Women‚Äôs Transition Centre (NWTC), Wolseley Family Place (WFP), Andrews Street Family Centre and Neechi Foods. The catering program participants prep and serve food at the Breakfast. These catering programs give people facing barriers to employment the skills needed to enter the workforce.
