At 328 feet high building crews working on the Canadian Museum of Human Righs reach out for the last piece of glass as it is brought to them by a crane on the chimney area of the Tower of Hope Wednesday morning.
More Info:
The glass at the very tip of the Tower of Hope stretches 328 feet into the air –– 78 feet higher than Manitoba’s Golden Boy and 25 feet higher than the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The piece of glass installed today on the museum’s Tower of Hope is the last of 1,669 individual, custom-cut panes that give the museum its iconic look. Finishing the external
glasswork brings construction of the museum’s major exterior design components to completion.
