RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Local - Stolen Ambulance Boretta construction workers, Shawn Flett (jeans) and Dean Jorgenson look at the scene after having to jump out of the way from a stolen ambulance being driven by man believed to be on meth. The man in his 20's, naked and believed to be high on meth was driving an ambulance erratically the wrong way down Notre Dame Ave., crashed into construction barricades almost hitting the 2 crew members and eventually smashed into the cultural centre. Sources say that the man was being attended to by fire, paramedics at another scene when he stole the ambulance. After smashing the ambulance he grabbed to large bags from back of the vehicle before escaping on foot to a nearby home. He was apprehended by police and put into custody. See story. May 29, 2020
