MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS A part of a the hallway and a room in the school have been filled with damaged papers and equipment to hopefully dry off. A sprinkler in Westgate Mennonite Collegiate went off mistakenly last night and flooded several rooms, including the Music Room, Library and the atrium. Historic choral papers, from the very beginning of the school's history in 1958, have been destroyed. The music teachers are devastated - as are the administrators and families. The school prides itself on being a music powerhouse, with choir mandatory for all G6-9 students, and optional - although many students take it - in 10-12.
