Winnipeg Fire Dept. Captain Marcel Lafond leans through third story window to rescue a two and a half year old girl who managed to make her way out onto the eves trough where she became lodged. Due to a misdirected 911 call the child was stuck out on the ledge for over20 miniutes before the fire dept. was brought to the scene by a neighbor.The fire captain and another fireman broke down the locked door and rushed up the the 3rd floor, where Cpt. Marcel LaFond reached out to the childs and pulled her in without injury.
