WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS

The New West Hotel on the Main St. strip at  Sutherland Ave. got a new paint job by artists from Winnipeg and from Montreal in a completely collaborative style on site.  The hotel owner gave artistic freedom to the EN MASSE artists Jason Botkin, MC Baldassari, Storm Angeconeb, Jade Rennie-Harper, Charlie Johnston, Matea Radic, Jay Cabredo and Takashi Iwasaki who incorporated images from conversations from the public in the neighbourhood and pure imagination and completed the collective vision in 5 days. The project was part of Wall-to-Wall Mural & Culture Festival and a partnership with North End Renewal Corporation, Graffiti Art Programming, Manitoba Arts Council.  Oct.10 2017
