 "The Blossom Boys"

In 1953, a group of River Heights kids started playing football in what was then known as Blossom Park. The bonds they forged there have lasted a lifetime: this year, with all the surviving Blossom Boys nearly 80 years old, they're holding their 65th anniversary and what could be their final reunion.

Some of the Blossom Boys gather together under the tree that the group planted in the park at Andrew Currie Park on Wellington Crescent (was Blossom Park), for some fun and games and a group photo Monday. The group used to lie under the trees after playing sports and tell stories.

Names:
Dan Allen - green jacket, Ted Holland - blue sweatshirt & jeans, Don (Whitey) White - golf shirt, David (Cece) Curry - cream shorts and Gerry (Frank) Bolin - sunglasses.
