Story: The Newcomer Community Hub,  located inside Ryerson School, hosts its grand opening Saturday.

Pembina Trails School Division has recently welcomed an increasing number of refugees into its schools. In order to support the community, with a current focus on Yazidi refugees, a unique relationship has been created with Immigration Partnership Winnipeg, the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations and a number of other groups called, The Newcomer Community Hub.   It is located in Ryerson School in Pembina Trails School Division and is a one-stop shop of services that traditionally have been located in the city’s downtown.   The Newcomer Community Hub held its formal grand opening with food, activities for kids and ribbon cutting ceremony.
