RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Local, Lisa Boyd holds a picture of her son, 16-year-old Tyler Klassen, who died from injuries he suffered in a serious car crash two years ago, after speaking at a press conference held by Transplant Manitoba at HSC on Wednesday. Boyd spoke to the media about how her son talked to her about organ donation and signed up just two months before his death in 2016. Even though she is still grieving his death she is proud of her sons decision and that he was able to help 45 people through his donation. Gift of Life released 2018 statistics for kidney transplants in the province at press conference and honoured deceased organ donors and their families, whose generosity has made 2018 a remarkable year at press conference at HSC Wednesday.
