Canstar Community News May 28, 2019 - High school students joined graduate and undergraduate researchers for a day of field work at the University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus. The students were paired with members of Juliette Detwiler's lab to collect invertebrate samples from the retention pond in the Smart Park by the Verna J. Kirkness Science and Engineering Education program. The program aims to increase the number of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students graduating from science and engineering programs in Canada.
