HBC Archives 53A57 March 4, 1870 The killing of Thomas Scott outside the walls of Upper Fort Garry. The place of his burial has long been a mystery. A new report states that it was in the middle of the trail, parallel to the east wall, outside the postern gate, just south of the present Hudson's Bay House. This photograph of the illustration came from the "Canadian Illustrated News", April 23, 1870, p. 385.
