Local - grants to study COVID - 19 
 
Two University of Manitoba researchers have received nearly $1 million in COVID-19 Rapid Response Program funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research for research projects that focus on public health responses in Indigenous populations.

Dr. Stephane McLachlan (plaid) is researching infectious diseases on Indigenous communities, looking at the coronavirus threat and what lessons Manitoba has learned since the H1N1 swine flu spread in the province's north a decade ago.
