49.8 Educating amidst VIRUS -
THREE FAMILIES:

Grade 3, Ecole Laura Secord student, Anna Milne-Karn, plays with her pink Barbie mobile clinic toy after school Monday.

Last week, Anna and her parents went to go get tested after there was an exposure in Anna's Grade 3 lunch room. Thankfully, their test results came back negative. Anna said the COVID test felt like she had water stuck up their nose. Luanne said the mobile clinic on Portage looked surprisingly like Anna's Barbie medical playhouse kit. Despite the chaos, they are so thankful to have Anna in school this year.See story.

We are following three families — a homeschooling family, remote learning family and in-class instruction family — this year to document their learning curves during the pandemic. The second edition will run this Saturday. It focuses on how the families have been coping thus far.
