LOCAL - climate report

U of W's Prairie Climate Centre has published a report that suggests an increase in severe heat waves across the country in the coming years as a result of climate change. Winnipeg's average heat waves will last seven days, up from a 3 to 4-day average now, by 2050 if greenhouse gases continue on their current trajectories. Researcher Ian Mauro says this will have a significant impact on human health.
