Local - Telesky's Taxidermist business

Long standing local taxidermist, David Baxter, retired the biz last year and is in the process of clearing out his remaining inventory including large polo bears. one of which he is wrapping and crating to head to Costa Rica. There are many other items that still need to be crated and shipped out including a walrus, caribou and another polo bear. Many mounted items like fish, caribou and musk ox heads that never were claimed by their owner still remain. The business has been around for over 55 years and still operates with many original tools and office supplies like a typewriter, old cash register and phone.

The taxidermy business was already struggling before the pandemic but now it is too challenging for Baxter to keep the business operating.

Photos of owner, Dave Baxter, crating a polo bear to ship out and interesting detail shots of the business.
