Career profile piece on the provinces first female dentist. Photos taken in Fraserwood, north west of Gimli, where she spends half her time, and has a large property with a garden during summer months.  

Dr. Odlum, 81, was the province's first female dentist, when she & her husband moved to Winnipeg in the late '60s from Vancouver via Wales, where the two of them were born and raised. 

She studied in London, followed her husband, an agricultural worker, to Canada in the '60s, and continued following him around Canada, as he chased jobs, until they finally settled here. After a long and distinguished career - she's spoken around the world on various topics related to dentistry, and was instrumental as a faculty member at the U of M in making dental care accessible for people in Manitoba's northern communities and reserves.
