 BIZ - condo market

Photo of Realtor, Alison O’Toole, outside condo unit at 854 Alverstone St. Friday.

Description:
While the detached housing market has been booming over the last year, the condo market is also hot. Some buyers, feeling priced out and tired of competing for detached housing, have come around to the idea of condos, and some downsizers are seizing the opportunity of a seller’s market to sell their homes for top dollar and moving into a condo instead.

Realtor Alison O’Toole recently sold an Alverstone Street unit that had been on the market for nearly a year to a couple who felt priced out of buying a house, and she says buyers are seeing the appeal of condominiums during the pandemic.
