RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Local Police Standup Traffic lanes were closed between St. James and King Edward, as police responded to a "weapons-related call" to a residence near 1967 Notre Dame Ave., and in the area. Police Swat team were armed at the scene. According to the Winnipeg Police Service, a person has been sent to hospital as a result of the incident, and the area will reopen to traffic shortly. One person was seen being arrested and put into a police cruiser vehicle during incident. May 04, 2021
