RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Standup - Sketching in park Former commercial artist, Vera Dighton, sketches with coloured pencils the wide vary of colours, hues and, what she calls "scallops", in the new outdoor Gardens at The Leaf in Assiniboine Park Monday morning. "When I worked as a commercial artist I used to say that one day I'd like to draw or sketch what I want to draw." Dighton does just that, as a longtime retiree, she likes to go out to places that she finds intriguing to continue working on her craft. She is also is a part, The Charleswood Art Group, a local artist group that goes out every Monday as a group to sketch. Aug 30th, 2021
