Three years ago he handmade a three-dimensional map of Clear Lake for a friend, using a scalpel to carve out the various depths. Everybody who saw it loved it, he made close to 30 more before investing a chunk of change in a digital router, which he now uses to turn out maps of lakes not just in Manitoba, but Ontario, BC, California, even the Philippines, using Google Maps and fishing depth chart websites to accurately recreate the body of water in question.
