MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS On some stretches of Winnipeg roads and sidewalks, it appears that as soon as city plows clear the snow away, wind blows it right back in. Many residents who drive through routes surrounded by open fields with no buildings or trees to block the gusts to fill in with snow drifts quickly, leading vehicles to get stuck and obscuring driversÂ’ views of the road. A home owner, who wished to remain anonymous, takes his garbage out. He says his road is especially prone to several feet of snow piling up, which can make access difficult and dangerous.
