Jamil Mahmood, executive director of the Main Street Project in his office at 661 Main Street, Tuesday afternoon.
A new report details the outreach provided by Main Street Project and St Boniface Street Links to vulnerable folks in ecnampments, bus shelters and on the streets, who jointly completed 20,855 outreach interactions between August and December last year. The report notes each handled many well-being checks that could otherwise tie up police fire and/or ambulance services. The two groups also focused on transitional housing, with the report noting that Street Links transitioned 77 unsheltered people to transitional or more permanent housing in that period.
