\RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS LOCAL / Standup - vacation help update Susanne Martin and her partner Peter Palaschuk with a 4 / 4 violin donated by Jim Rogers for a Ukrainian refugee that Susan and Peter helped a few weeks ago while they were vacationing in Europe. The couple picked up the mom and her two young kids in Poland and drove them to family in Vienna. While rushing to escape from the Ukraine she left her violin behind. With the story that ran in the Free Press at the end of April people donated violins and now Suzanne and Peter are shipping her this one as a surprise. The couple received several violins that they will be sending to violin musicians that a fleeing the war. This is a follow-up to the story that ran at the end of April by Kevin Rollason. May 06, 2022
