STARS Air Ambulance nursing and paramedic staff who answered the call said Brittany would not have survived if not for the blood product available on board the helicopter that day. Emergency service workers in Winnipeg including, Stars Air ambulance workers, RCMP officers and Winnipeg Police officers including Police Chief Danny Smyth gave blood at Canadian Blood Services to help save more lives a bring more awareness to the importance of giving blood at this years Sirens for Life campaign Thursday. More info Canadian Blood Services is asking Winnipeggers to join Canadas Lifeline by donating blood in support of their local emergency services teams and local recipients like Brittany Gerbrandt. The goal for this years Sirens campaign is to collect 200 units of blood and recruit 50 new donors. The campaign runs from July 1 to August 5, 2019. Standup photo - no story. June 27, 2019
