Local - Closure of Sergeant Tommy Prince School in Brokenhead.

BROKENHEAD SCHOOL FOLO: Students have been dismissed from Sergeant Tommy Prince School, owing to air quality concerns.
Families are getting increasingly frustrated. The school's principal has since left and it remains unclear why. Meantime, leaders are saying new air testing reports show that mould is the issue, not CO or CO2. Mother Chasity Simard has been outspoken about her frustrations regarding the lack of transparency surrounding the issue and the fact students are missing school. Her Grade 3 daughter has spent the majority of her education career learning from home to date, due to the pandemic. Chasity is disappointed the school hasn't even sent home iPads like they did mid-pandemic and only recently began supplying families with paper homework packages. ҉ homeschooled her for two years and then she finally went back and then this happened in the new year. Iխ just better off homeschooling. She misses her school, her routine. It sucks, being stuck and trapped inside all the time,Ӡthe mother said. She works part-time so she's been juggling homework, taking care of her three-year-old son, nine-year-old daughter and working in the service industry in the evenings.
