David Rhynold of the Brandon Bluefins takes a breath while competing in the 50-metre freestyle event at the Rural Round-Up swim meet at the Sportsplex last weekend. Rhynold was among a bevy of Bluefins who reached the podium at their home meet as he finished in second place in the boys' 11-13 age group 25m backstroke and placed third in the boys' 11-13 age group 25m freestyle event. The Bluefins are back in action next weekend as they'll travel to Winnipeg for the Prairie Winter Invitational from Dec. 15 to 18.
