Story: When the pandemic started, Cousins Deli, a longtime Sherbrook staple, shut its doors. For three years, West Broadwayites had nowhere to go for knishes and beer. After nearly 40 years, the divey, beatnik bar was quiet. Owner Yen Nguyen was asked the same question on a daily basis: will Cousins ever reopen? No, but Yen’s Kitchen and Bar did this July. It’s essentially the same as before, with wooden booths, cards, and boardgames. But now it has banh mi and salad rolls.
