Philanthropy Page - Reeve Cahoon, and family

Photo of Reeve Cahoon (9yrs) with his family: Ashley (mom), Shawn (dad) and little sister Harlyn (6).

tory: Philanthropy Page. The Make A Wish Foundation grants life changing wishes for kids, not only for the sake of the child but to strengthen the family and community around them. 9-year-old Reeve received his wish for a family camping experience through the Make A Wish Foundation last year. He goes to school with EA support, has a great group of friends that he loves to play with and enjoys sports and Lego. He gave a presentation with his family at the Make A Wish Banquet a few months back and stole the show.

Reeveճ Dad calls his son Superman because of everything heճ been through. Reeve was born with Sturge-Weber and Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. Sturge-Weber syndrome is a congenital disorder characterized by a port wine birthmark, neurological abnormalities causing seizures, and glaucoma. Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome affects the development of blood vessels, soft tissue (overgrowth) and bones in the lower part of the body. Reeveճ seizures started at 16 months old, and he required multiple hospitalizations. He underwent his first brain surgery for seizures in 2017, where he had to relearn how to sit, stand, and walk. He has since had two more brain surgeries removing the right half of his brain. Last year, he had surgery on his right leg to slow down his growth.
