MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS
Erin Nault, Huron Childcare program director, and Charanjit Singh, Huron Childcare administration director, outside the 1120 McPhillips Street Huron Childcare Centre.
The North End is getting 120 new child-care spaces thanks in part to a $200,000 loan from Jubilee Fund. The funding is part of a more than $1.8 million project called Mountain Child Care on Mountain Avenue, and will ensure greater access to affordable childcare is available to the area. The new facility will more than double the current 91 spaces that Huron manages and operate as a second location. The families Huron supports come from a diverse range of backgrounds including newcomers.
