07112023 Some of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation’s herd of bison, including some of their white bison, graze amongst pumpkins thrown to them during the Honouring the Buffalo event in the community amid a snow storm on Tuesday. Sioux Valley elementary and high school students and other members of the community gave pumpkins to the bison to eat and learned about the importance of bison in Dakota traditions and how bison protect one another.
