BROOK JONES / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS The Forks Historic Rail Bridge at The Forks in Winnipeg, Man., remains closed on the morning of Friday, Dec. 22, 2023. The bridge which was built in 1913-1914 by the Canadian Bridge Company of Walkerville, Ont., was used for freight into the CN Rail yards at The Forks until the 1960s. The Fenway Path provides a way for pedestrians to walk over the Assiniboine River to the South Point.
