Students participating in the Dufferin Hockey Academy program were joined by community volunteers, Dufferin School and Hugh John MacDonald Jr. High students, members of the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Police Cadets in the 2015 Dufferin Hockey Academy Year End / Community Walk Wednesday to the Pioneer Arena. Students in the program had a game against the coaches and instructors from the Academy.  About 45 students took part in the  Dufferin Hockey Academy this year aimed primarily at Aboriginal youth between the ages of 5 and 13  with instruction provided by Winnipeg Police Service members and community members volunteering their time.The program takes place Wednesdays throughout the school year. see release.
