FROM PRESS RELEASE - NHL Hockey Players Join for Community Celebration at 17 Wing Winnipeg WINNIPEG, MB As part of a $300,000 commitment, Canadian Tire has embarked on a military base tour in support of Canadian Armed Forces Recreation Month, including a stop at 17 Wing Winnipeg. The three-year commitment with Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services includes $300,000 in gift card and sporting equipment donations across every military base in Canada, to help military families living on base get active. To celebrate the ongoing commitment, Canadian Tire will participate in six military base events including: 17 Wing Winnipeg, Greenwood, NS, Gagetown, NB, Valcartier, QC, Ottawa, ON and Kingston, ON. Canadian Tire will join the men, women and families living at 17 Wing Winnipeg on Friday, June 24 for a formal presentation followed by an athlete autograph session. June 24, 2016.
