Cathy Cullen the first female to cross the finish line receives her marathon medal. Around 1,900 people took part in the Winnipeg Police Service half-marathon this morning. The eighth annual event started and finished at Assiniboine Park and is expected to raise about $100,000 for Cops for Cancer. Organizers had initially expected about 2,500 participants, but said the weather may have dissuaded some people from coming out.
