At right, Jerry Maslowsky with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and former Bomber player Doug Brown who is the Ambassador for the Kickoff Run relay June 22-June 27 that was announced Tuesday at Great West Life Conference Centre. The relay will consist of 400 runners from across the province that will be chosen or has won the chance to take part passing a CFL football in relay fashion on a route through several locations including, Brandon,Winkler, Gimli and Selkirk. The relay will also pass by former historical locations like the Osborne Stadium, Canad Inns Stadium then arriving at the Investors Group Field on June 27th Opening Ceremonies. see release.
